Line Dance Classes in New Braunfels

Line Dance classes for Seniors are taught by Valerie at the Westside Community Center on the southbound access road of IH-35 at Exit 185. Sponsored by the New Braunfels Public Library, the classes are free. No registration is required. No previous dance experience is needed, just the desire to join us for some great exercise with a fun group of people! We meet Thursday mornings from 9:30-11:00am. Classes are ongoing throughout the year, except for city and national holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, etc.

Group Classes in New Braunfels

Valerie teaches dance classes for the Comal ISD Community Education program on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7-9pm during the school year, with a Spring series of classes from February through May, and a fall series from September through November.

All Beginning level classes are open to everyone -- no prior dance experience is required or expected. We will teach you everything you need to know about the rhythm and character of the particular dance, the music and the footwork, and then some interesting patterns!

All Intermediate level classes require that you have taken Valerie's Beginning level class first. Even if you already have some basic dance knowledge, you should start again at the beginning to become familiar with my methods and terminology. Besides, it never hurts to review the basics! And you will meet more dance companions.

To register for the Comal ISD classes, call their Community Ed office at 830-221-2177. 5-week sessions cost $90/couple ($50/single).

Location for Comal ISD classes: we meet in the gymnasium of Goodwin Frazier Elementary School at 1441 Elliot Knox (Business IH 35) near Rhine Terrace; we're 1/2 mile east of Church Hill Middle School (Business 35 at Loop 337). The gym is at the back of the school. Enter the LAST driveway (nearest Rhine Terrace) and follow the signs for Student Drop Off "Buses Only" as you snake around the playing fields to the parking lot at the back of the school. Bring bottled water.
