Classes in San Marcos

Valerie is teaching dance classes, co-sponsored by the City of San Marcos Parks and Recreation Department at their Activity Center, on Saturdays in Aerobics Room #2, either 4-6pm, or 6-8pm (specific schedule below). Classes usually run on a monthly (4 week) basis, costing $40/single, $75/couple. Each month will have a specific focus, and we will always review the foundation moves needed before building to the more complex sequences. We will rotate partners throughout the lessons, helping us all to learn faster, to retain the material better, and to make new friends among our classmates, which will multiply our dancing pleasure!

You can also register online by opening a free account at www.recconnect.sanmarcostx.gov. Directions to the Activity Center: DO NOT DO A MAPSEARCH ON-LINE -- THEIR DIRECTIONS ARE INACCURATE!! Just take Hwy 35 to San Marcos and take exit #205, which appears to be leading you to Hwy 21, but is actually the exit for West Hopkins Street. Turn West at the intersection by the McDonalds, heading towards the Wendy's. About 1/4 mile further on, Hopkins curves past 2 sets of railroad tracks. The Activity Center will be on your right, just after the US Army Post and the Public Library.

6-8pm: Beginning "Romance": Western Waltz and Night Club Slow Dancing
